Saddleworth

Our very first project as Lucy Frank Garden Design and Landscaping

We were approached by Terrie and Keith in 2018 who were unable to use their garden due to extreme variations in levels.

There was an existing retaining wall which was unsafe and only 3 feet away from the house and therefore stopped light from entering their home.

We designed a garden for them on three levels, allowing them to be able to use all the space and create different cozy zones.

This garden took many months to build due to poor access and level changes with all excess materials being removed by hand.

The main structure of the garden was built using rendered concrete and stone walls along sleeper retaining walls, with concrete and steel reinforcement.

We built a natural stream using stones and boulders that were already in the garden and patio areas using Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone.

We worked with our client to create this beautiful garden.  Once complete our clients planted it themselves and spend all their time outside, enjoying the garden and staying close to nature, which they couldn’t do before.

Terrie and Keith have very kindly allowed our prospective clients in to view the garden, giving inspiration for other projects.
