Our very first project as Lucy Frank Garden Design and Landscaping
Terrie and Keith approached us in 2018, as their garden was difficult to use due to significant level changes.
An existing retaining wall, positioned close to the house, was unsafe and restricted natural light into the home.
We reimagined the space across three levels, creating a series of distinct, usable areas that allowed the garden to be fully enjoyed for the first time.
Despite challenging access, the transformation was carefully carried out by hand, reshaping the levels and overall structure.
Retaining walls were rebuilt and integrated into the design to sit naturally alongside the house and its surroundings.
A natural stream was created using existing stones and boulders found within the garden, alongside patio areas formed in Kandla Grey Indian sandstone.
The result is a structured, considered garden that feels balanced, practical and connected to the home.
Terrie and Keith now enjoy spending time outdoors in a way that simply wasn’t possible before, and have kindly opened their garden to inspire future projects.
Projects of a similar scale today generally start from £50,000
